New Paranormal coming: SHIFTING PLACES

Had to post this:

I am so excited today. I proofed the paper copy of my latest paranormal last night, SHIFTING PLACES. I believe I am going to be able to keep my promise and have it up on Amazon for you all to read over the 4th of July weekend. I will get it posted during July to Smashwords and thus on to Barnes & Noble, Kobo, iTune etc.

Here is the blurb from the back cover. Just a teaser to get your reading juices flowing.

Mr. Grimm wants his daughter back. Raven kidnapped Angelica over eighteen years ago. The vampire ruler holds her as hostage, blackmailing Grimm to do his bidding with the threat of ‘turning’ her.

Mr. Grimm has witnessed an event. He believes with the help of Azur, the fire demon and Cody, the shape shifter, he might finally rescue his daughter.  The team of three must travel through the many portals of The Realms; through the land of the Yeti, across the sands of the Pharaohs and into the stronghold of the Minotaur.

But, will the rescue of Angelica mean the death of one of Cody’s pack? Simone has been left alone, unprotected.

Planet Designation 014.666.2460 - Chapter 10

“Will you follow us to a more pleasant place where we can speak?” Rudd’ard asked. “This unsettles us.” He motioned with a hand toward the bones scattered around peeking up out of the low ground hugging fog.
Mul’drak swished his tail as though agitated, his scales clattered across the ground kicking up dust and tossing bones in the air.
The three of us must have looked skeptical.

Planet Designated 014.666.2450 - Chapter 9

“Say that again,” Jake said. He looked at me like he thought I had lost my mind.
“It was a dragon,” I repeated.
Jake got up from his place in my co-pilot’s seat on the bridge and took a few paces away from me. He removed his cap and ran his fingers through his dark, wavy hair. This was a habit Jake had when thinking, stressed or otherwise irritated. He could have been all three after my statement.
“What did you see?” Jake asked Arr.
“It was a dragon,” Arr confirmed.

Planet Designation 014.666.2460 - Chapter 8

At first I didn’t know what woke me. I was just jolted awake by some unfamiliar noise. But then the sound rattled the hull of Ma-rye-a again. There was no mistaking it. It was Kay-o bellowing at the top of his lungs. His booming howl vibrated my chest as if I had the bass tuned up way too high on Ma-rye-a’s sound system.
“What the…” I started to swear.
I tumbled out of bed and headed out of my room and down the hall toward the guest room where Jake, Arr and Kay-o chose to spend the night rather than pod back over to their ship. We had a few too many drinks. They considered that room theirs anyway, so had tucked in for the night.
The fact that I had one too many before retiring, was not helping my navigation down the hall. Jake came crashing out of the guest room. We collided head on.
“What the…” Jake said.
“That’s what I said,” I rubbed my temple as Kay-o let out with yet another ear splitting howl.

Planet Designation 014.666.2460 - Chapter Seven

I hugged Jake around the waist as he squeezed me back.
“Great to see you,” I said, as I pulled away.
I turned to Arr and gave him a big hug too until Kay-o pushed is huge head between us to get his share of attention.
“Good to be here,” Jake responded.
I asked the guys to meet me here so we could talk about what I was planning and see if they wanted to join in. Since I most likely had some kind of bad mojo on my tail I decided to offer Jake and Arr some monetary compensation for accompanying me. With them at my back, I knew I would be as safe as anyone could be in space.
